YETPlus Smart Magnetic Tracklights

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the YETPlus Smart Magnetic Tracklights. With their ultra-slim, sleek design and advanced features, these lights bring a modern and stylish lighting solution to any space. Offering adjustable white tones, Bluetooth Mesh connectivity, and seamless control through the YETPlus Smart App, they are designed for effortless installation and directional lighting. Powered by a 48V DC driver installed on the track, these lights are highly efficient and functional. When paired with the YETPlus Smart Gateway, additional features like Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts integration are at your fingertips. Please read this manual carefully before use.

Installation

Track Installation

Surface-Mounted Track

  1. Mark the Mounting Points: Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the track installation points on the surface (ceiling or wall). Ensure alignment and spacing are accurate.
  2. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points and insert wall plugs (if necessary).
  3. Secure the Track: Align the track and attach it to the surface using screws. Tighten securely to ensure stability.
  4. Turn On Power: Switch the power supply back on.
  5. Install the Driver: Connect the 48V DC driver to the track system as per the driver’s installation instructions.

Recessed Track

Note: Recessed track installation should be performed professionally by a certified ceiling contractor to ensure proper fitment and safety

  1. Prepare the Ceiling Cutout: The contractor will mark and cut out the ceiling recess to match the track dimensions.
  2. Insert the Track: The contractor will place the recessed track directly into the cutout and secure it in place without brackets.
  3. Install the Driver: The contractor will connect the 48V DC driver to the track system as per the driver’s installation instructions.

Magnetic Tracklight Installation

  1. Turn Off Power: Ensure the power supply to the track system is switched off.
  2. Attach the Tracklights:
    • Align the connectors on the magnetic tracklights with the grooves on the installed track.
    • Place the tracklights onto the track and ensure they securely snap into place.
  3. Adjust Light Direction: Adjust the angle or direction of the tracklights as desired.
  4. Turn On Power: Switch the power supply back on.

Setup

Step 1: Download the YETPlus Smart App

  • Search for the “YETPlus Smart App” in your app store or scan the QR code below to download it directly:

Step 2: Enable Bluetooth

  • Ensure Bluetooth is turned on on your mobile device.

Step 3: Pair the Tracklights

  • For New Tracklights: When powered on for the first time, the tracklights will flash three times, indicating they are in pairing mode.
  • Manually Initiate Pairing Mode:
    • Turn the tracklights on.
    • Turn them off and then on again five times, ensuring the lights are fully turned off before turning them back on each time
    • After completing this action, the lights will flash three times to confirm it is in pairing mode.

Step 4: Connect to the App

  • Open the YETPlus Smart App, select “Add Device,” and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the tracklights via Bluetooth Mesh.

Step 5: Control Without Gateway

  • Without the YETPlus Smart Gateway, you can control the tracklights directly via the YetPlus Smart App on your mobile device.
  • Create groups in the app to manage multiple tracklights simultaneously.

Step 6: YETPlus Smart Gateway for Advanced Features

  • To access advanced features such as cloud-controlled scenes, scheduling, Google integration, and Siri Shortcuts, you must set up a YETPlus Smart Gateway.
  • Follow the Smart Gateway’s user manual to complete the setup and link it with the YETPlus Smart App.

Step 7: Associate the Tracklights with the Gateway

  • Open the YETPlus Smart App and navigate to the Smart Gateway section.
  • Select Associate Bluetooth Device and follow the prompts to connect the tracklights to the gateway.

Step 8: Integrate with Google and Siri Shortcuts

  • Google Integration:
    • Download and fully set up the Google Home app on your mobile device.
    • Use the YETPlus Smart App to link to Google Home:
      • Go to Profile > Google Assistant
    • Or, use Google Home to link to YETPlus Smart App:
      • Open Google Home app
      • Go to Devices tab > + Add > Works with Google Home
      • Search for YETPlus Smart in the list of smart home apps and follow the instructions on screen to connect Google Home to you YETPlus Smart account.
    • Ensure Google Assistant is properly configured to enable voice control.
  • Siri Shortcuts:
    • Create a scene for the tracklight /device in YETPlus Smart App.
    • An “add to Siri” icon will appear on the scene page. Click on it to select the scenes to be added to Siri Shortcuts.
    • Input custom phrases as shortcuts for the Siri voice command.
    • The commands will be added to Siri Shortcuts upon saving.

Usage

  • Brightness Adjustment: Use the YETPlus Smart App to dim or brighten the light.
  • Color Temperature Adjustment: Select warm or cool tones using the app.
  • Group Control: Manage multiple tracklights together via the app’s group control feature.
  • Cloud-Controlled Features (with Gateway):
    • Set scenes and schedules for automation.
    • Control the tracklights remotely via the app.
  • Voice Control:
    • Use Google Assistant or Siri Shortcuts for hands-free operation.

Troubleshooting

  • Tracklights Not Responding:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
    • Make sure the tracklight is within Bluetooth range.
    • Confirm that your mobile device is connected to the internet during troubleshooting.
    • Check that the YETPlus Smart App is updated to the latest version.
  • Reset the Tracklights: Turn the tracklight off and then on again five times, ensuring the tracklight is fully turned off before turning it back on each time. After completing this action, the tracklight will flash three times to confirm it is in pairing mode. You can now start to search and add the tracklight in the app.
  • Connection Issues:
    • Verify that your mobile device is connected to the internet during setup or troubleshooting.
    • If using the YETPlus Smart Gateway, ensure it is properly set up and linked to the app.

Safety Instructions

  • Ensure the driver supplies 48V DC and is installed securely on the track system.
  • Recessed track installation must be carried out by a certified ceiling contractor to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
  • Avoid exposure to water or moisture.
  • Disconnect the power supply before installation or maintenance.
